Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar’s REAL Reason for Divorce: “No Problem With Credit, We Just”

<p>In a recent interview, Javed Akhtar discussed how his collaboration with Salim Khan was coming to an end. The team, most known as Salim-Javed, has written many successful screenplays. Sholay, Zanjeer, Deewar, Don, and Naam are a few examples of them. But after a 12-year collaboration, Salim and Javed’s relationship unexpectedly ended, and the authors parted ways. Javed Akhtar discussed their breakup in a recent interview, saying that they didn’t argue but rather grew apart, which caused tension.</p>

<p>Javed Akhtar said, “When we began, both of us were nobodies; we only had each other,” in an interview with Barkha Dutt for Mojo Story. As a result, we would hang out by the water and share tales for a long time. He would either come to my room—I had one guest room that I charged for—or I would go to his modest home. But a lot more individuals come into your life as you become older and more prosperous. And all those latent interests and passions were suddenly awakened. All of your other hobbies begin to emerge after you have accomplished the major task or interest in your life and have reached a good place.</p>
<p>According to Akhtar, their connections expanded along with their professional success. They eventually ceased interacting with one another. He made it clear that credit or money had nothing to do with their breakup. “That’s what happened: you start meeting various kinds of people, and over time, you start becoming different individuals. We never fought, there was never a problem with money or credit, and there was nothing. We just drifted away. One came to the realization that the connection was gone and that we now had our own group of friends and didn’t sit together in the evenings. The rapport gradually deteriorated as a result, and it also had an impact on our job, he said.</p>
<p>Arbaaz Khan, the son of Salim Khan, revealed details regarding his father’s present connection with Javed last year. He said that the two had reconciled and often spoke over the phone.</p>
<p>They are in a great place right now. When we were younger, we never would have imagined that Dad and Javed Saab would ever sit across from one another and talk. Dad wasn’t feeling well that day, so Javed Saab called to ask me to check up on him. Arbaaz told Bollywood Bubble, “He even asked me to give him a date when he could come home and see dad.”</p>
