Actor and director Riteish Deshmukh will work on the Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj movie

<p>On Monday, actor-director Riteish Deshmukh revealed the title of his next film, “Raja Shivaji,” which is based on the life of Shivaji, the founder of the Maratha dynasty.</p>

<p>According to a press release from the producers, the Marathi-Hindi bilingual will depict the story of a youthful Shivaji who revolted against the powerful forces and went on to become the renowned Raja Shivaji.</p>
<p>According to him, the 45-year-old would also portray the title character of Maharashtra’s greatest fighter, and he said that making a Shivaji movie has always been his goal.</p>
<p>Not only is Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj a historical person, but he is also an emotion, an enduring tale of bravery, and a ray of hope that has warmed people’s hearts for more than three and a half centuries. Deshmukh said in a statement, “A rebel whose courage knew no bounds, he didn’t just rule the land, he conquered hearts, earning the endearing title of ‘Raja Shivaji’.”</p>
<p>The actor also released the “Raja Shivaji” poster on Sunday, the eve of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti.</p>
<p>Mumbai Film Company, Deshmukh’s in-house production company, and Jio Studios are producing the historical action drama.</p>
<p>Producing the life story of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj has been Deshmukh’s acting wife Genelia’s “biggest dream,” she stated.</p>
<p>“We set out on a noble mission to add a narrative thread that enhances the fabric of our history and culture, not just to make a movie. “Raja Shivaji” is our greatest ambition, and Jyoti Deshpande and Jio Studios are the ideal collaborators. We ask for your well wishes as we follow our calling—it’s not only a great honor but also a great responsibility,” Genelia said.</p>
<p>Jyoti Deshpande, President of Media and Entertainment of RIL, expressed their pride in working with Riteish and Genelia to tell the “Raja Shivaji” tale.</p>
<p>“This vision is embodied by Raja Shivaji; it is not merely a local story; rather, it is a culturally embedded narrative that is intended to cut across linguistic boundaries,” Deshpande said.</p>
<p>Santosh Sivan shot the film’s cinematography, while well-known composers Ajay and Atul will provide the soundtrack.</p>
<p>The “Raja Shivaji” movie’s producers say that shooting will start this year.</p>
<p>There are now two more Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj movies in development. Sandeep Singh is directing one and Akshay Kumar is in the other. Mahesh Manjrekar is connected to direct.</p>
