Comparing the 2022 edition to the IPL Auction, viewers increased by 57%

<p>According to Jay Shah, secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), the number of watchers at the most recent Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 auction increased by 57% over the previous one. Shah said on X (formerly Twitter) that the IPL auction attracted 22.8 million viewers in total, which was more than the number of viewers for the 2022 sale. Dubai hosted the IPL 2024 auction on December 19.</p>
